Walter Geer III, chief experience design officer at VMLY&R HEALTH, has been announced as Change Creator of the Year in the Adweek Creator Visionary Awards. The second annual honors celebrate the innovators and influencers doing the most groundbreaking work on social media.

Shannon Miller of Adweek wrote, "VMLY&R's recently promoted chief experience design officer, Walter Geer III, does not take his influence in the ad industry lightly. For the past year, he's transformed his Instagram platform into a meeting ground for some of the most important DEI discussions in marketing and featured major figureheads like P&G’s Marc Pritchard, VMLY&R’s Jon Cook and Gary Vaynerchuck of VaynerMedia. Recently, Geer took part in the historic documentary Black Madison Ave., where seven of only nine existing Black ECDs gathered for the first time to dissect and call out the complex gatekeeping that continues to hold the industry back.
