VMLY&R Recognized as a Top Adoption-Friendly Company

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has named VMLY&R (now VML) to the Top 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list among all U.S. companies and ranked No. 1 in our industry. This is the eighth year that VMLY&R has been recognized on the Top 100 list.

Kelli Dame, Associate Director for Strategy and Insights at VMLY&R, and her husband welcomed a new member to their family of three earlier this year.

“From our families to our agencies, friends, lawyers and companies, each played a role, and none were insignificant,” Dame said. “Knowing that VMLY&R was pledging their support, both financially and emotionally, brought us through some of the dark times and helped us celebrate in the best of times. There is no better phrase than to say it brought us priceless peace of mind.”

VMLY&R offers financial assistance for adoption-related expenses, including fees, travel, and legal costs, incurred by full-time employees. Additionally, the company also provides 12 weeks of paid parental leave for both adoptive and foster parents.

Since 2002, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption surveyed the nation’s employers for its ranking of the 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces. The annual survey weighs adoption-friendly corporate policies, including financial reimbursement for the costs of adoption and paid leave for employees.
