Portfolio Night, the global event for emerging creatives will take place in Prague for the first time this June

Portfolio Night creates a platform for emerging advertising copywriters, art directors and designers to meet renowned creative directors who give them feedback on their work over the course of one evening. The event, under the patronage of the global organization The One Club for Creativity, is coming to Prague for the first time this year, where it will be organized by VMLY&R.

"I am personally very happy that we managed to get this format to Prague. I felt that something similar was missing in our region. Prague is now the only city of all Central European countries where Portfolio Night takes place. It is a unique chance for students and aspiring creatives to show their ideas to the best creatives in the field, who sit on the juries of the Cannes Lions and other prestigious world festivals. Listening to their opinion can be a springboard to a stellar career and fundamentally influence their future professional direction," says Miloš Kočí, Creative Director of VMLY&R.

The event has a limited capacity for thirty promising talents. Those interested can buy a ticket to the Prague version of the world event directly on the official website of Portfolio Night. On 13 June, a total of ten creative directors from renowned agencies including Miloš Kočí from the organizing agency VMLY&R, Tereza Svěráková (OAK Prague), Dora Pružincová (DDB Prague), Dejan Štajnberger (VCCP Prague), Lester Tullett (Kaspen JvM), Michaela Pechanová (Ogilvy) and Martin Mareš (Mark BBDO), will take a closer look at their work.

"A portfolio is crucial for creatives, especially for newcomers. Proper storytelling and project presentation makes a huge difference in who, if and why will hire you. If a few minutes of my time can help someone get a better job, I will only be glad for it," says Dora Pružincová, Creative Director of DDB Prague.

The evening itself will take place in the style of speed dating – each of the participants will have the opportunity to consult their portfolio in fifteen minutes with three experienced creatives. The evening will culminate with the announcement of the best portfolio and the award of the All-Star title. The winner will automatically qualify for the international virtual round of the competition, where All-Stars from each country will deal with the client brief in groups. The winning team will receive a week-long stay in New York, during which they will work on a campaign for one of the sponsors. After the end of the official part of the event, informal networking for all participants will take place.
