Barbora Šumanská

Although her original focus was that of a PR professional, Barbora is currently the leading expert on social networks. And that she did well with this change is evidenced by the respectable collection of Effie awards for advertising effectiveness. Together with her team, she has won no less than thirteen statuettes over the past five years for campaigns that build brand awareness or sell the brands’ products or services in the most effective ways in social media environments.

Barbora has more than ten years of experience in the Ogilvy agency, where she founded and gradually built up a separate department specialised in the progressively-developing social media. She believes that the success of brands on social networks is due to a combination of three ingredients – effectiveness, quality content and complexity.

Her grandmother, who loved fashion and taught her to sew, is a great source of inspiration and courage to her. Barbora will continue in her footsteps once she leaves the agency life.
