Tomáš Novotný

Tomáš is responsible for the creative work of the Blue Team at VMLY&R, which takes care of Česká spořitelna and Pilsner Urquell. He once wrote an essay on "How to make a bow", followed by dozens of both love and existential poems, until in 2006 he came up with his first advertising slogan.

From textual work, which he was involved with in several agencies, he has arrived at the work of Executive Creative Director. In the past, he worked on the brands McDonald's, Heineken, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Pepsi and ČSOB. He has a number of awards from local and international advertising competitions under his belt. He also appreciates that his work was published in the prestigious advertising magazine Lüzer’s Archive, or that he earned a Creative Excellence Award for the best McDonald’s campaign of the year worldwide.
In his spare time, he reaches for his bass guitar or gets on his bike. He has a weakness for good beer, vinyl records and puns. He admires Joe Strummer, Ladislav Sutnar and his daughter Klementýna.
