Dimitri Guerassimov

Dimitri was born in Moscow but spent most of his life in France. Starting his advertising career in 2001 as Art Director at BBDO Paris. In 2007 he moved to Marcel where he played a vital part in building the Paris office, nurturing a bold free-spirited creative culture, and raising the profile of prestigious local and International brands (Intermarché, Carrefour, Auchan Orange, Rayban, Diesel, Fiat and many more).

After helping make Marcel become the most awarded French agency at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 3 times, Dimitri embarked on a new adventure in May 2017, as Partner and CCO at Serviceplan France. His mission was to help build this agency. In 2018, Serviceplan France was ranked the 10th independent agency worldwide in the Cannes Creativity Report, and won other national and international awards including the French Advertising Agency of the Year award at the GPAA.

In 2019, after helping Serviceplan become the Most Awarded French Independent Agency in Cannes, Dimitri joined Cécile Lejeune as co-CEO and CCO of VMLY&R France.

Dimitri’s passionate work and creative vision has resulted in innovative and iconic work such as Intermarché “Inglorious Fruits and Vegetables”, Marc Dorcel “#Handsoff” and Carrefour "Black Supermarket" to name a few. While shaking up and moving forward French advertising as a whole, Dimitri has collected more than 500 globally recognised creative accolades, including 58 Cannes lions , the only French D&AD Black Pencil, two D&AD Impact Black Pencils, a OneShow Green Pencil and a British Museum of Design “Design of the Year” Award.

Before being honoured to join the D&AD Integrated jury in 2019, Dimitri has judged the Cannes Lions Festival, LIA, French Art Directors Club, Adprint Festival, Shots Awards and the Strategies Grand Prix.
