Michelle joined VMLY&R Commerce in May 2017. Her role is to build out expertise and capability within the agency. She drives growth for clients by connecting them more closely with their consumers in all new commerce channels.
Under her leadership, VMLY&R Commerce launched an Innovation Hub to capitalise on white space opportunities and rapidly prototype for clients. As well as a data driven operating system to drive deeper insights and more effective creative outcomes. In a collaborative WPP team effort, VMLY&R Commerce UK landed WPP’s Creative Transformation Award – celebrating the most remarkable work reflecting the power of creative to build better futures for clients and communities. This was for Boots’ “Bootiques” – the retailer’s first data led experiential & social Christmas campaign.
In 2021, the agency was awarded the Drum diversity and inclusion agency of the year, which the whole team are very proud of.
Michelle’s experience covers many categories and career highlights including the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games and the Coca-Cola football World Cup - even if she did not get to go!
Outside of work, Michelle coaches and mentors a number of people, is a member of the marketing society, and as a WACL member, she is chair of the Future Leaders Award committee.
