Sunetro Lahiri is the Chief Creative Officer for Glitch, India. As part of his role, he leads creative for the agency across geographies for the county. In a career spanning over 10 years, Sunetro has dabbled in every aspect of storytelling in the field of advertising, infusing his experience in writing, design, visualisation and filmmaking into his work to craft a versatile portfolio that stretches across the gamut of ad media. Having stretched his creative muscles across a variety of brand categories, he takes a special interest in strategic premiumisation and purpose-powered humanisation of brands through genuine consumer bridges and connects.
Sunetro has been at the epicentre of building some of the biggest digital brands in the FMCG space in India, like Lakmé, Pond’s, Tresemmé, Netflix, Disney + Hotstar, Linkedin etc. Through his creative renditions of his work with brands, he actively nurtures his passion for enabling and amplifying sustained conversations about diversity & inclusion. From representing authenticity in ethnicity, to changing gender-based archetypes, to shining a spotlight on under-represented segments of society, he always looks for opportunities to develop and bolster progressive identities in gender, ethnicities, faith & beyond through work.
As an out, queer individual, he gives back by crafting content that enables conversations on topics not openly discussed within the Indian milieu, be it about shining a light on queer issues through his podcast, or through his role as the co-chair for WPP Unite’s India chapter, or being a voice that updates beauty standards in India and beyond to reflect the true, authentic reality.
