Héctor Fernández

Héctor Fernández is well known in the industry for helping build many iconic brands and creating award-winning campaigns. His work has received more than 500 awards over the past 25 years. Fernandez moved to VMLY&R on February, 2016. One year later the Agency was named Agency of the Year, twice. Before that, he was Co-CEO and Executive Creative Director at Publicis Mexico, for the past six years. During that time, Publicis Mexico won more awards than they have in their 20 years prior, winning Agency of the Year for the past three consecutive years at the Mexican Creative Club.

Prior to his role at Publicis Mexico, Fernandez worked at BBDO Mexico for 15 years, he helped take the agency from number fourteen to number five, turning the agency into the most successful, most awarded company in the country with their first Cannes Lion and One Show Pencils. He speaks Spanish, English and French.

With more than 20 years of experience in many industries, in which he has worked for VW, Walmart, DANONE, BIMBO, Telefonica, Chrysler Dodge, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Martell, Ballantine's and Ray Ban, among others.
