In this year’s edition of Effie Awards Poland, organised by the SAR Marketing Communication Association, the VMLY&R Poland agency received the Gold trophy in the Finance category for the “Rocznik 1999” (“Born in 1999”) campaign carried out for mBank Polska. The Bronze trophy in the Positive Change: CSR category was awarded for the “Wiem, czym oddycham” (“I know what I breathe”) campaign for Aviva.
During the 19th Effie Awards Poland gala, the jury chaired by Tomasz Lisewski, Global Head of Brand, Communications & Digital and Marketing at Philips Polska, awarded a total of 55 trophies in 24 categories to advertising creators and advertisers for the most effective marketing campaigns of 2017 in terms of communication activities.
The justification for the Gold Effie for VMLY&R Poland and mBank Polska reads:
A bank versus young people. Sounds like a serious challenge. What to wear in order to be noticed? Where to go to meet that one right person? What to say, so that it sounds intriguing, but also credible? How to make another person feel special? How to awake emotions in order to be chosen? The winners of the Gold Effie created a communication campaign for the young, winning their hearts (and wallets). And what is more, they managed to reach them with precision, effectively accomplishing the assumed business goals.
