Congratulations to Ashley Paige-Powers, senior connections manager at VMLY&R Memphis, who has been named to the Memphis Business Journal 40 Under 40 list.

A passionate creator producing powerful work, Ashley is an asset to her clients, co-workers, and the Memphis community.

Ashley primarily services Navy Recruiting Command, overseeing @AmericasNavy on all social media platforms to ensure the Navy meets its mission and sets the national standard for government social media accounts. She oversees campaigns from ideation to implementations, places paid ads to targeted markets, and explores new social media opportunities.

Most recently launching Snapchat for the Navy just moments after it became available for government accounts. Under the supervision of Ashley, the Navy Snapchat account quickly became a primary social channel for the team amassing millions of impressions and all industry standard benchmarks in under one year on the platform.

Within VMLY&R, Ashley not only serves as a member of Team Navy, but she also works to acquire new business for the company. In the past year, Ashely has worked on multiple pitches for national brands — lending her social media expertise to demonstrate to clients how crucial social media is for any brand. Acquiring new clients at this level isn’t just beneficial to VMLY&R but to the Memphis community as a whole — putting Memphis on the map as industry leaders in social media marketing and creating more local jobs.

Additionally, Ashley recently was named office lead for the VMLY&R Foundation. In this role, she acts as a liaison between VMLY&R Memphis employees and the foundation as a whole — helping them join, apply for grants and provide local service opportunities. In this role, Ashley advocates for local Memphis charities encouraging VMLY&R employees to volunteer in their community.

Ashley's immense success can be attributed to her passion for perfection and inability to fail. No task intimidates her.
