David Shulman is chief experience officer at VMLY&R and is charged with growing the agency’s experience practice in North America and globally. Uniting the agency’s strategy, human-centered design and technology capabilities, Shulman helps brands transform via customer experience to better serve customer needs and drive business growth.

Prior to VMLY&R, Shulman served as CEO of Organic and led the agency’s transformation as the Interaction Agency, helping to win and grow clients including Ford, American Family Insurance, AT&T and Wells Fargo. Gartner recognized Organic as a global digital Agency to Watch, citing "significant growth and industry accolades, while challenging the traditional agency business model.”

Prior to Organic, Shulman tackled legacy brand Wunderman as President where he united multiple agency brands to win and serve global clients. Before that, Shulman had a nine-year run at Digitas where he held leadership positions in the US and Europe including founding Digitas Detroit, which Crain's recognized as a "Best Place to Work.”

Shulman has been recognized by Campaign’s “Digital 40 over 40” and Creativepool named Shulman as a Top Global Influencer. He is a member of YPO and serves as an advisor to various start-ups. Shulman earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
