Job description

To lead, inspire, set direction and drive to provide excellent services and manage the delivery of exceptional creative product that meets and/or exceeds the client’s business objectives.
The position provides leadership to the GAD’s that are each responsible for a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Responsible for business development in terms of growing existing client revenue as well as new business deals.
  • Oversee at a Senior level the overall operation of their client services team to ensure efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Deliver business initiatives that enhance development of skills, knowledge and good practice in the agency.
  • Deliver tactical solutions when necessary, to achieve higher quality within the confines of cost and time ensuring that any change is clearly communicated across the business.
  • Identify opportunities for improved systems or use of resources, engage with Ops to implement change within the Agency to achieve operational excellence.
  • Through close relationship with the clients, continuously develop the strategic direction of each client account and ensure communication of any directional changes to GAD’s.
  • Ensure delivery of high standards of client satisfaction, measuring this through feedback, surveys, response to campaigns and continuously adapting and adjusting approaches to benefit client needs.
  • To actively pursue and support the delivery of new business into the Agency through leadership or involvement of pitch project work and delivery.
  • Ensure optimal integration between various agencies working on the client's account

Requirements

  • Experience managing teams and large accounts
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a BUD role or 6 years at a Lead/Client service
  • Manager/CSD role, or at a Senior level
  • At least 8 years’ having been directly accountable to work with client, liaise and engage on
  • (illustrating sound understanding) budgets, price quotes/CEs and invoices
  • A sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agency
  • Build presentations and deliver/present in a confident and compelling manner (including at Executive level)
  • Strategic expertise in terms of insight and value-add (in an advisory capacity to client)
  • Be able to present concept to clients, unpack them and respond to questions raised
  • Visionary leadership skills
  • Sound overall business acumen
  • Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting
  • Excellent client management and negotiation skills
  • The ability to write comprehensive and insightful briefs
  • Confident communication skills – always ensuring timeous response to written
  • communication for internal and external stakeholders (including emails, meeting requests/calendar invites, text or WhatsApp messages, phone calls & voicemail)
  • Promptly raising any concern around communication excessively outside of acceptable hours of communication or unreasonably cutting into personal/family time so that this can be addressed, and reasonable measures agreed upon
