Social Media Content Producer - JHB

As a Social Media Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining content plans for multiple social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube and TikTok) and content approaches for proactive and tactical concepts.

The position requires you to stay abreast with the digital and social landscape (data, trends, formats, innovation) to ensure that our client’s work is always ahead of the curve. You will also have an opportunity to learn how to craft social media strategies and ensure that all content is aligned to the strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (including however not restricted to)

Content Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule and publish content.
  • Craft copy and develop content direction.
  • Monitor the social media engagement/trends received across the brand’s social channels.
  • Use reports to define methods of optimizing content for ed-board and all other content.
  • Develop proactive ideas based on social listening and tactical opportunities.
  • Perform post-campaign analysis (looking at both the strategy alignment and content performance) to provide insightful report back to client.
  • Attend client events and assist with live coverage, where necessary.
  • Flag brand issues or possible reputational damage seen on social media.

Production Responsibilities:

  • Create video/static content with editing skills required. (Video editing, Photoshop / Illustrator)
  • Assess each platform(s) to identify opportunities for innovation and cut-through content ideas.
  • Mid-senior skill set for social media content production, especially for TikTok.
  • Conceptualise and present ideas that increase engagements for campaigns and always-on content.
  • Assist creative teams with defining shot lists and pre-production elements for social media productions.
  • Stay abreast with industry and platform updates.

  • Application of reporting data in content direction and post campaign analyses.
