Campaign US Honors VMLY&R as Advertising Network of the Year

VMLY&R has been named Advertising Network of the Year by Campaign US. The announcement, part of Campaign’s Agency of the Year awards, was made in a virtual ceremony Thursday, Feb. 18. Entries were judged on notable projects within the past year, major client relationships, business performance. company culture, thought leadership, talent recruitment and diversity. Other finalists for this year’s Advertising Network of the Year included Dentsu, Digitas, McCann Worldgroup and TBWA.

Accepting the award on behalf of the agency, Jon Cook said, “More than the individual award and the pride we feel about that, it’s pride for what our entire industry did in 2020. It was a weird year — the hardest year we’ve ever had in some respects, and a lot of industries buckled. But the advertising industry collectively brought hope, brought optimism, and persevered.”

Additionally, Ben Geheb was honored as a finalist for Strategic Planner of the Year, and Allison Pierce was a finalist for Creative Person of the Year.
