January 3, 2019

With 23 years of experience in the advertising industry, including both media and creative, László Palincsár has been named CEO of VMLY&R Hungary. He started his career at Ogilvy and then became COO of IPG for ten years. In 2010, he took an international assignment as the CEO of ZenithOptimeda in Sweden and Nordic Board Member of Vivaki. He returned to Hungary in 2015 to build an integrated agency model via Team Red. In the past four years, the agency has tripled in size and won a number of awards including a Grand Prix at the Effies. Palincsár consolidated the full Vodafone business (creative, media, digital and production) and won numerous other clients like Media Markt, Erste Bank and Audi.

He replaces László Aczél who retired after 23 years at Y&R Hungary, where he established a highly successful regional operation that won Agency of the Year multiple times and a number of Cannes Lions and Effies.

”We are sad to see László Aczél go, but at the same time welcome László Palincsár who has undoubtedly proved his skills,” said Andrew Dimitriou, CEO, VMLY&R EMEA. ”We are confident that, under his leadership, VMLY&R will continue to achieve great success.”
