The Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA) is made up of CMOs from some of the world’s largest brands. The organization allows CMOs the opportunity to network and discuss being in the C-Suite. Additionally, it helps create a bigger and better pipeline for future Black leaders.

BECA is profoundly aware of the inequality and seeming indifference that excludes Black employees from the C-Suite and leads to a lack of corporate board diversity. As members and allies, we feel an obligation to create a navigable path for Black marketers.

VMLY&R recorded a dozen BECA members around the country, where we asked them about their paths to leadership and what they hope to do as part of the alliance. The final product combines their answers with kinetic type and animation in the brand’s colors.
